candles of excellent quality and ingredients, that are
also naturally-beautiful and environmentally
friendly.
Bright Sun Candles are
hand-poured in St. Paul, Minnesota from the wax of
American-grown soybeans. Our candles are scented
with only essential oils. We use no artificial
scents and no dyes or artificial colors. Like all
soy wax candles, our candles are clean &
long-burning and made from a natural wax that is a
renewable resource.

Crayons?
Bright Sun Candles is committed to green
and recycled products. We're excited to announce
that this commitment is now being extended to a
new product: soy wax crayons.
Crayons
are a household staple for anyone with children.
(With four kids at home, we certainly go through
our fair share). Like the majority of candles
on the market, most crayons are made with paraffin
wax. Paraffin wax comes from petroleum, a non
renewable resource that does not bio-degrade in
landfills.
Bright Sun Soy Crayons
are made with soy wax and recycled crayons. We're
finding that the leftover bits of used crayons
make excellent coloring agents for new crayons.
We're excited to make a product from
a renewable resource and reduce the trash
going into the landfill.
Here's where
you come in. We need old crayons! Think of all
those little crayon bits in the bottom of the art
box, your child's backpack, etc. Collect them, put
them in a box and email us; we'll come pick them
up. Talk to your local school to see if they'd
like a bucket to collect old crayons, especially
as the school year ends in a few months. This
little step can give new life to what otherwise
would go into the trash.
Bright
Sun Soy Crayons will be included in kits with
recycled paper so kids can make their own wrapping
paper! We hope that our newest product, Renew
Wrap, will be available at retail locations that
carry our candles soon.

can take less than a minute to do something green.
Try some of these simple solutions to be on the
path to a greener lifestyle.
* If
everyone in the U.S. said "no thanks" to ATM
receipts, it would save a roll of paper so long it
could circle the equator fifteen
times.
* Change light bulbs
from traditional incandescent to compact
fluorescent light bulbs. If every American did, it
would reduce greenhouse gases equivalent to the
emissions of nearly 800,000
cars.
* Turn off the car
instead of idling. When a car idles for more than
30 seconds, it actually uses more gas, putting
more pollution into the air then if it was turned
off.
* If every US
household replaced just one roll of virgin fiber
paper towels (70 sheets) with 100% recycled ones,
we could save 544,00
